Four days now, before the election! Voting is our right and privilege. Law and order are always best over reckless rioting. Mob rule and chaos is never the right action. Every nation has to choose what they will allow. Let us behave with poise and civility. Let us live with others in a peaceful manner. As children of God, we are the earth’s peacemakers! Now is the time to show this character and skill. Peace is made by the L-O-V-E cycle of communication.
L stands for listen.
O stands for observe their body language.
V stands for verify what you have heard them say. ie; “Is this what you said?”- giving them a chance to clarify, whenever needed.
E is for express your thought… after listening first! Then we allow the other person to return the L-O-V-E, and the exchange will be more helpful and peace-making.
Remember James 1:19, 20 “Be swift to hear and slow to speak and slow to wrath, for the wrath of man does not accomplish the righteousness of God.” Let’s show others how it works! “Father, lead us in peace. Make us a reputation as children of God in these days of angry, destructive and hurtful words. Use us to be Your light and salt… brighter and better… in order that we may lift others up!
