Today we pray and fast. This upcoming election holds many concerns and the stakes are higher than I have ever seen in my years on earth. We have, for 244 years, been a democracy; a nation of the people, for the people, and by the people. The introduction of socialism to our nation is under consideration: here, and now! We will, a few weeks from now, be voting between remaining a democracy or turning to socialism. Pray for wisdom concerning what we are being offered. We understand that the offers of free medical, free education, and other free services sounds appealing-however we must always remember to ask ourselves, when making our choices, “where is the money to pay for this going to come from?” The answer will be in one word, taxation. At present, our country is in a debt of $26,730,000,000,000 usd. Many Americans are alarmed by this fact, but there are also so very many who are unaware how dangerous this situation really is. Let’s pray for our country’s financial future and the leaders who are in charge of managing it. Pray, specifically for our understanding when we hear offers like “free medical for all”. Think about what that means, for example; the projected cost of free medical is anywhere between $30-$40 trillion over the next ten years. Experts warn that with this system of care, we will implode and crash by the year 2035! That’s only 15 years from now! We must pray for wisdom! This information regarding this direction for our nation is not encouraging. Socialism, while promising free health care etc… will barely last 15 years. We see examples of this proven in the countries of Cuba, Venezuela, and even the USSR- all failed miserably and collapsed in financial ruin. Great National debt also forced the citizens to live impoverished. It is a no win scenario. Now is the time to prepare for the future! The forecast of an economic crash and future worthless dollar is predicted by many of today’s experts. LET US PRAY that we keep and protect our democracy! Each generation has had to sort out what they will do with freedom. Past generations have met the challenge and succeeded. Their success is why “in God we trust” is on our money. I believe that this year’s election needs our passionate and effective prayers… more than any other election! We are on the edge of potential destruction and may not even realize it. One vote away! What will you vote? What will you pray? “Lord, help us to be “woke” to the potential ruin that could actually be a mere 15 years away. Please bless us!… but Lord, are we bless-able? May we return to honoring You so that you You can, and will, prosper us as a nation. In Jesus Name.” Amen.
