Tomorrow is worship! I hope these blogs are equipping you in your developing of an-effective prayer life. Keep using the feeling wheel, as I have done for these past 30 years! It has enhanced my understanding in prayer, in life as things happen, and especially in my relationship with God. Take time today to reflect. What main emotion do you experience more than others? Are you having new thoughts and discoveries as you have read and applied what you are learning? Are you finding that the emotion you started out with is now changing into a new emotion? One coming from new faith, hope, and love? God promises specific blessings when we see specific truths applied to specific problems! When we live and see how God’s Word works in specifics, the results are new spiritual growth, influence, and power in prayer! Isn’t that exciting?! God will be seen more clearly at work in our lives, and through our prayers, when we pray and practice His word in something specific, not when we tend to live and apply His Word to our life “in general”. Nothing is dynamic until it is specifically applied! As you grow in Christ, your prayers will become less and less generalities and more and more specific burdens, requests and praises. Pray for your family members name by name! Pray for your neighbors name by name! There may be no one else who lifts their names to God other than you! Pray for your concerns- problem by problem and step by step! Pray for leaders name by name…etc and then you can watch and see your prayers being answered both in small and big ways!
