Today we fast and pray. Yesterday we pondered the reality that when we misunderstand the emotion we are feeling, we can then miss praying accurately for God’s promised solutions, direction and healing. Once we understand what we are feeling, we then can ask ourselves, “What does the Bible say about my emotion?” Let’s practice this insight with the very common emotion of fear.
365 times the Bible commands us “not to fear”. What promise/truth does God give to me for addressing my fear? Consistently, when it comes to fear, in His Word He states, “fear not FOR I AM WITH YOU!” The Great I AM is with me! It is stated in the strongest of terms of the original language. “I WILL NEVER LEAVE you nor FORSAKE you.” The original Greek boldly promises I WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER leave or forsake you! He is with you and I right now! He is there, in the room that you are presently sitting in! He is your ever devoted Father, whose full time job is to be with you! He cannot and will not be anywhere else, than with you. His omnipresence, omnipotence, omniscience, eternal faithfulness, truthfulness, abundance, and every other attribute of God is WITH YOU! Therefore, If God is for you…who or what can stop His care and plan for your life? The obvious answer is, no one can stop Him! Nothing can stop Him! He is willing and able to fulfill and answer the small prayers we pray for our lives and the big prayers we pray for our nation! Pray in Jesus name, Amen!
