Sept 13, 2020

Today is our day to worship! God is raising up thousands of His followers to proclaim His Name and thank Him for salvation from sin through Jesus the Lamb! What kind of worshiper does God look for? He looks for those who worship Him in the truth and in the Spirit. Someone who truly seeks to worship the Lamb of God. This means that in this current day, we make sure that we are not followers of the elephant or the donkey but of THE LAMB! Man’s organizations or political parties must not be the focus of our lives! Once Jesus is our focus we will then be able to serve these parties more effectively. Every nation has people who work in their government jobs while also, at the same time, strive to influence others for Christ. Here in America it is no different. Pray for those in our country’s Senate, House of Representatives, our Supreme Court Justices, and the staff of the FBI, CIA etc. who are also followers of the Lamb. Pray for their clarity of judgment, wisdom and courage to do their job as a Christian. Pray that as they worship the Lord, like we are, that they will hear truth and spiritual insights that will illuminate and inspire them for the good of those they serve, as well as for God’s glory. Paul urges us to pray for those in authority (1 Tim 2:1-3). Be sure to use your freedom to vote for the best candidate possible, one whom you can support and who displays wise direction and integrity.

These next days of my blog will seek to be a guide and help for handling our emotions during these increasingly turbulent times. Understanding and addressing our emotions biblically and wisely will help us to pray with greater skill and fervency. James reminds us that the passionate prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much! (James 5:16). Amen.
