The third main step towards coming to a personal knowledge of God is to believe that Jesus alone can remove guilt and restore us to a right relationship with God. Why is it that, in Jesus alone, we are able to resolve our sins? Turn to the Bible for the answer and we find that the gift Jesus gives the whole world is because Jesus, alone, is sinless! No one else in human history can say that they are sinless or are even close to living a sin free life. Pray for people to come to know and believe this Truth! Jesus alone is worthy! He loved God 24/7 and obeyed every command of God, every day of His life! He is worthy to be the substitute for the sins of the world! His sinless life makes him worthy before God the Father. Our breaking of God’s laws has resulted in a debt that no one can pay for themselves… let alone for others. Jesus was willing and able to pay for every sin! He offered to God the Father, His life in payment for our sins. He withstood the wrath of God, and exhausted that wrath, until all of our guilt was paid in full. God the Father was willing to accept His Son’s life as the worthy payment of His perfect, completely satisfied justice. Jesus death is now our substitute for what we deserved. Three days later, as proof that the wages or debt of sin were paid in full, Jesus was raised from the dead and is ALIVE! No person, other than Jesus, can offer you this perfect gift of His life… for your sins. Pray that this truth becomes clear and obvious for those on this spiritual journey. “Father, we see and trust that Jesus has taken away the debt and power of sin at the cross where You, Jesus, died in our place.” Amen.
