A great citizen is one who lives Holy and Righteous! Pray to be holy. Holy living is a life that lives separated from sin and separated to God’s will and glory. It is a life that is completely surrendered to God. Take a moment to look up and sing the words to the great hymn, “I Surrender All.” Righteous living is obedience to God’s Law. It is a life that is summarized by Jesus as; “Loving God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving your neighbor as yourself”. Love is the overflowing heart of a righteous person who stays focused on God’s incoming love to them! “We love Him because He first loved us”! We become a channel of love flowing to God and towards others. Our country needs millions (not just hundreds or thousands) of righteous and holy followers of Jesus! Our city needs these people! Our block where we live needs such people! Pray that you will be separated from sins that are all around us, and pray to obey, by faith, God’s Law of love. The fruit of His Holy Spirit is a holy life full of love, joy, peace, etc. The words to another great hymn called the Greatest Thing fit this day’s focus perfectly; “The greatest thing in all my life is knowing You, the greatest thing in all my life loving you, the greatest thing in all my life is serving You. I want to know You more, I want to love You more, serve You more…” Amen!
