We sing America the beautiful, and are mindful of these lines “amber waves of grain… above the fruited plain…” Our country has been endowed with plentiful fields for fruit and vegetables. We are able to feed the world if we wanted to.

· Food Chain.
Year after year we throw away good food, milk, breads, etc. we plow under plentiful harvests. God has richly blessed us in America. Pray for the farmers and cattlemen, and those who develop the markets for rich foods like no other nation in the world. Pray for them to make money and profit so they can keep these goods affordable. Pray for skills and techniques that they can prevent disease in the fruit and vegetables. Pray that we can help more people who are needlessly starving in other places in the world. The world’s poverty is still alarmingly large. Pray for these foods to get to all in America who are under the poverty levels. Pray for Christian farmers and cattlemen to do generous giving to the poor, esp. when it can be given without cost. Pray for ideas and methods to store and multiply our food sources esp for the poor in other lands. Praise God for His bounty, His gifts, His many healthy foods we do enjoy. Go eat a piece of fruit after this session in prayer!
