Today let us fast and pray. Pray that we are a just nation, as it says in our pledge of allegiance, “Justice for all”. Pray for the Senate and House of Congress to guard our liberties and fight for our vulnerable. These elected officials are responsible to make good laws. Truth and equal treatment must be in every law as the pledge says, “one nation…with liberty and justice for all.” Pray for God’s name to be respected by these lawmakers. Pray for these lawmakers to live out what they say. Some of these leaders need to be removed from office, pray that God will move in the hearts of our voters to vote in the best choices of leaders as possible. As it is said, “We do not follow the elephant, or the donkey (or the rhinos, writer’s addition), but we follow the Lamb.”
Pray for just Judges to execute the laws wisely and fairly. Pray for the Supreme Court to the lowest court to be known and led by just Judges. As God gave wisdom to King Solomon and David may the believing Judges shine brighter and better than those who are without divine direction.
