Pray for a merciful heart , see Matt 5:7, “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.” Mercy is compassion on the weak, wanting to relieve the pain others have or are experiencing. Pray for a deeper awareness or a greater understanding of the pain all around you. Do you see what pain your spouse is feeling? Do you see what pain and discomfort your children are having? Is someone in your family in pain right now? Physically, emotionally, or spiritually? Pray for clear understanding? Corona virus has effected some, maybe even in your own family or extended family. Pray for their recovery or their understanding what God is seeking to accomplish. Pray for wisdom to understand yourself, others and God as it pertains to pain. Each emotion is different, and we approach them differently. Is it fear, guilt, shame, anger, loss, frustration, weakness, doubts, etc? As we show mercy to others we grow mercy in our lives. Pray for a greater capacity for mercy and a greater capability in giving away mercy. When we do this we are promised we shall receive mercy ourselves.
